About the Event
Join Rebecca Jayne and Jim Cozens in hosting the second of their songwriters sessions at The Star Inn, Guildford. Rebecca and Jim will be joined by local legends, Keith Bayley and Nora Anna at this intimate live music event. £5 entry.
Nora Anna is an up-and-coming singer-songwriter. Her favourite artist since childhood has been Norah Jones but growing up she has also taken inspiration in song-writing from great musicians like Joni Mitchell, John Mayer, Carole King, James Taylor etc. She says her songs are ’’little nostalgic story-telling hybrids'' because they have a bit of everything - pop, jazz, blues, folk and most importantly - a story that will make you drift into your thoughts.
After years of playing guitar alongside some great singers both live and in the studio, a continuing passion for Americana songwriting led Keith to step up to the vocal mic with his acoustic and lap steel guitars. He performs his own songs and covers by some of his favourite artists, including Ben Glover, Gretchen Peters, Jason Isbell and John Moreland. His solo album ‘Rivers and Rain’ is out now on all digital platforms.
A classic singer songwriter and story teller, his songs are personal, universal, joyful and moving. In a long, eclectic career he’s written songs for other artists, music for radio, television and movie productions and, once upon a time, survived the Eurovision circus.
At 23 years old, Rebecca has a substantial writers reel already having co-written with industry professionals and taking regular trips to Nashville for writing sessions. She has charted in both the Top 100 iTunes Singles Charts and Top 40 iTunes Album Charts with her EP titled 'Things I've Done' in 2018.
